Barbara Joe "Bobbie" Ferguson
of Kistler, WV
Barbara Joe Ferguson, 83, of Kistler, went home to be with the Lord and her loving husband, Otis Ferguson, on Wednesday, February 4, 2015, leaving from Hubbard Hospice House of Charleston, after a brief illness.
She was born on September 14, 1931, in Logan County, a daughter of the late Pete and Ruby Adkins.
In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by one brother, Jack P. Adkins.
Bobbie was retired pre-K teacher who was employed with Logan County Board of Education. She was a member of the Accoville United Methodist Church, where she taught pre-K Sunday School class.
Those left to cherish her memory are her two children, Karen Dillon of Whitman and John Otis (Deborah) Ferguson, Jr. of Morgantown; five grandchildren, Kristie Dillon of Texas, William Dale Dillon of Whitman, Dustin Lee Dillon of Logan, John Otis Ferguson, III of Martinsburg, and Joshua K. Friend of Morgantown; three brothers, Jay Adkins, Ray Adkins, and Tommy Adkins; four great-grandchildren, Zoe Lee Dillon and Skylar Madyson Dillon, Elizabeth and Lucas Friend; and her church family along with a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, February 10, 2015, at the Accoville United Methodist Church at Accoville with Rev. Norman Harvey officiating. Burial will follow in Highland Memory Gardens at Godby.
Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m. Monday at the church and one hour prior to services.
Pall bearers will family, friends, and church members.
