Obituary of Patricia Sue Ellis

Patricia Sue “Patty” Ellis Of Hunt, WV Patricia Sue “Patty” Ellis, 77, of Hunt, received her crown on Sunday, September 6, 2020, leaving from her earthly home, after a courageous battle with cancer. She was born on September 20, 1942, at Davin, the daughter of the late Wesley and Ona Short Toler. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one daughter, Doreen Donahue; four sisters, Dorothy “Dot” Sos, Imogene Wilbur, Glenna Lusk, and Barbara England; and three brothers, Bernie Toler, Mason Toler, and Ronnie Toler. Patty was a vibrant, compassionate, sincere, humble, loyal, kind hearted, courageous, generous, and fun loving spirit. Her innocence sometime got her into trouble. Beautiful inside and out, she truly had a heart of gold. She was a excellent wife, a loving Mom, MawMaw, and friend. Thanks Mom for the love of a lifetime. Those left to cherish her memory are the love of her life her loving husband of 60 years, Leonard “Buddy” Ellis; three children, Teresa Ellis of Durham, NC, Leonard “Louie” Ellis, III, and Christopher Ellis and his wife Annette Ellis, all of Man; two grandchildren, Brandon Ellis and his wife Courtney of Madison, OH and Bryanna Donahue of Raleigh, NC; one sister, Linda Tomblin of Davin; two brothers, Joe Toler of Oceana and Alfred Toler of FL; a special friend, Bobbi Anderson of Hunt; two loving neighbors, Joan and Dickie Trent of Hunt; and many nieces and nephews along with a host of other relatives and friends. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 9, 2020, at Highland Memory Gardens at Godby with Rev. Johnny Hatfield officiating. Pallbearers will be family members. She was such a giving person that she would be honored if you would donate to another family member that is battling cancer at Keith and Rhonda Pennington, 1607 Clayton Avenue, Cleveland, OH 44109.
