Of Mallory, WV
Paul Jeffrey, 94, of Mallory, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, August 25, 2020, leaving from Raleigh General Hospital at Beckley, after an extended illness.
He was born on April 17, 1926, at Blair, the son of the late Linville Lee and Mary Coburn Jeffrey.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Thomas Lee “Tommy” Jeffrey; twin sister, Pauline Hill; and sister, Norma Jean Cornett.
Mr. Jeffrey was a member of the Claypool United Methodist Church. For many years he was a member of the Going Over Home Quartet which sang all over Logan County. Paul enjoyed going to Myrtle Beach and he loved to fish. He retired from Appalachian Power Company after 42 years of service.
Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of almost 71 years, Pauline Jones Jeffrey; one son, Timothy Ray Jeffrey and his wife Dreama Jeffrey of Kopperston; two grandchildren, Melissa Whitten and Derek Jeffrey and his companion Sarah Lester, all of Kopperston; seven great-grandchildren, Kendall Whitten, Cassidy Whitten, Noah Whitten, Kolten Jeffrey, Eli Jeffrey, Jayden Jeffrey, and Aubree Lester; one great-great-granddaughter, Fraya Meade; a good friend when needed, Maria Hatfield; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins along with a host of other relatives, church family, and friends.
Funeral services will begin at 12:00 Noon on Monday, August 31, 2020, at the Krantz-McNeely Funeral Home at Man with Rev. Tim Shuff officiating. Burial will follow in Memory Gardens at Madison.
Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 Noon at the Krantz-McNeely Funeral Home also.
Pallbearers will be Noah Whitten and the men of Claypool United Methodist Church.
