Barbara Jean Porter Fernandez Of Bolt, WV Barbara Jean Porter Fernandez, 90, of Bolt, formerly of Accoville, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, June 21, 2020, at Beckley, after a long illness. She was born on December 10, 1929, at Accoville, the daughter of the late Ralph Porter, Sr. and Martha Smoot Porter. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three children, Kathy Ann Belcher, Ricky Aaron Fernandez, and Danny Ray Fernandez; five sisters, Deloris Adkins, Helen Duiliss, Betty Vincent, Hazel Bryant, and Beatrice Doty; two brothers, Richard Porter and Ralph Porter, Jr.; and one granddaughter, Penny Marie Fernandez. Barbara was a home maker and a wonderful mother, daughter, and sister. She was a Christian of the Freewill Baptist faith. Barbara Jean enjoyed going to church and listening to music. She loved her family and enjoyed spending time with them. Those left to cherish her memory are three children, Carolyn (James “Ed”) Watson of St. Albans, Julia (Bobby) Blevins and their son Bobby Gene Blevins, Jr. and his fiancé Samantha of Bolt with whom Barbara Jean made her home for the last 14 years, and Randall “Randy” (Dana) Fernandez of Accoville; two sisters, Wanda Porter of Cleveland, OH and Judy Porter of Forest, VA; one brother, Virgil (Martha) Porter of North Royalton, OH; grandchildren and their spouses, Barbara Jean “Barbie” and James Meadows and Ronald and Donna Jeffers, all of Branchland, Jennifer and Mandy Jones of Logan, Christine and Brent Jacquot of Risingsun, OH, Vickie and Gary Jude of Delbarton, Ann Fernandez of Bruno, Kimberly and George Ellis of Bruno, Jared “Pete” Morris of Accoville, Michael Adkins of OH, Bobby Gene Blevins, Jr. and his fiancé Samantha of Bolt; Doris and Rick Allen of Amherstdale, Lori Belcher of Logan, and Tommy and Shelly Belcher of Hensley Hgts; 21 great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews along with a host of other relatives and friends. A celebration of Barbara Jean’s life will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 24, 2020, at the Krantz-McNeely Funeral Home at Man with Rev. Dale Campbell officiating. Barbara Jean will be lovingly laid to rest in Forest Lawn Cemetery at Pecks Mill. Visitation will be held one hour prior to services. Pall bearers will be her grandchildren and her nephews.
