Of Lorado, WV
Mrs. Emma Mae Walker, age 88, of Lorado, departed this life on Monday, May 4, 2020, at her residence, following an extended illness.
She was born November 18th, 1931, in Bessemer, Alabama, a daughter of the late Jim and Betty Logan Pippens.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers James, Richard, ,and Hayward Pippens; one sister, Ida Mae Felder; her husband, Eddie Walker Sr,; one son, Eddie Walker Jr,; one granddaughter, Rozelyn Robinson; and one great-grand-daughter, Ashley Walker.
Mrs. Walker was a homemaker and a mother of The Original Glorious Church of God at Taplin. She enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren.
Emma is survived by four daughters, Carrie Childress and her husband, Charles, Betty Walker, and Ethel Walker, all of Cleveland, Ohio, and Annette Tarver of Valdosta, Georgia; three sons, Lonnie Walker of Accoville, Nathaniel Walker and his wife, Barbara of Lorado, and Kerry Walker and his wife, Beatrice, of Taplin. Mrs. Walker has 23 grandchildren, 33 great grandchildren, and 3 great-great grandchildren. She is loved and cherished by many other family members and friends who will sadly miss her.
Funeral services will begin at 12 p.m. Friday, May 8th, 2020, at Krantz-McNeely Funeral Home at Man. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetary at Pecks Mill.
Visitation will be be held from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. Friday, May 8th, 2020 prior to the Funeral service.
Emma's family will serve as pallbearers.
