Obituary of Nellie Jean Adkins Dempsey

Nellie Jean Adkins Dempsey Of Neibert, WV Nellie Jean Adkins Dempsey, 36, of Neibert, began to rest on Sunday, January 25, 2015, at Niebert. She was born on May 10, 1978, at Man, the daughter of Frank, Jr. and Jenny Grimmett Adkins of Neibert. Preceding her in death are her husband, John Edward Dempsey; two brothers, Larry Wayne Hill and Frank Adkins III; her maternal grandparents, Lonnie and Nellie Altizer Bartram; and her paternal grandparents, Frank and Gladys Gearhart Adkins. Nellie was a 1996 graduate of Man High School. She enjoyed playing Hay Day on her I pad and driving anywhere you wanted to go. Those left to cherish her memory, in addition to her parents, are her son, Frank "Pee Wee" Adkins IV of Neibert; one sister, Rebecca (Raymond) Horton of Chesapeake; one brother, Peter John (Lori) Almodovar of Gilman Bottom; three nephews, Shane, John, and Chad; and three nieces, Shantelle, Alexis, and Skylar; along with a host of other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, January 29, 2015, at the Krantz-McNeely Funeral Home at Man with Brother Sheldon Wells officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery at Pecks Mill. Visitation will be held from 6-9 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home and one hour prior to services. Pall bearers will be family. Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Krantz-McNeely Funeral Home at Man.
