Of Crown, WV
Barbara Ann Copley, 75, of Crown, went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Friday, January 3, 2020, at Pikeville Medical Center, after an extended illness.
She was born on November 21, 1944, at Beech Creek, a daughter of the late James Oliver and Barbara Ellen Atkinson Bragg,
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, Howard Henry Copley; two infant children, Blaine Copley and Baby Girl Copley; one sister, Joyce Imes; and six brothers, Charles Richmond, Richard Richmond, Jerry Richmond, James Oliver Bragg, Jr., David Edward Bragg, and Joseph Marion Bragg.
Barbara was employed with Ellis Supply at Crown for over 30 years. She was a giving person who was always trying to support those who needed help. Barbara enjoyed fish camp and was an avid fisher person. She was a Christian who attended various churches when she was able. Barbara was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She will be deeply missed by all who loved her.
Those left to cherish her memory are four sons, Gregory (Shawn) Copley of McConnell, Lawrence “Fats” Copley of Accoville, Keith Copley of Crown, and Joseph (Jennifer) Copley of Amherstdale; a special daughter-in-law who was like a daughter to Barbara, Delorice Bragg of Man who Barbara lived with during her illness; a special grandson who was a big support to Barbara, Bill Copley of Crown, seven other grandchildren, Katie Copley and Emily Copley, both of Huntington, Ricky Copley of Man, Jade Looney of Gilbert, Brett Williams and Kira Williams, both of Crown, and Joseph Copley of Amherstdale; two brothers, Johnnie (Linda Kay) Bragg of Accoville and Robert (Norma Jean) Bragg of White Sulpher Springs; and many nieces and nephews along with a host of other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 6-9 p.m. at the Krantz-McNeely Funeral Home at Man.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, January 9, 2019, at the Krantz-McNeely Funeral Home at Man with Rev. Harry “Buddy” Hager and Rev. Gary Robertson officiating. Burial will follow in Highland Memory Gardens at Godby.
Pallbearers will be Johnnie Bragg, Bill Copley, Ricky Copley, Keith Copley, Joey Copley, and Brett Williams.
Honorary pallbearers will be Robert Bragg, Joseph Copley, Gregory Copley, Lawrence “Fats” Copley, and Kevin Flemings.
