Bruce E. Doty, 64, of Kistler, went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Friday, December 6, 2019, leaving from
He was born on April 5, 1955, at Logan, the son of the late Alfred Lee and Beulah Deloris Copley Doty.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Roger Lee Doty; and several Aunts and Uncles.
Bruce was a coal miner who retired from Patriot Coal Company after almost 28 years of mining. He was a member of the United Mine Workers of America local 5958. While in the hospital in March of 2019, Bruce asked Jesus to come into his heart. As a Christian he was happy and grateful for his salvation. Devoted to his family, Bruce was a wonderful husband and father. When he was able, he enjoyed 4-wheeling in the mountains, target practice, and picking berries. Bruce loved joy riding in his corvette. He will be deeply missed by all of those who loved him.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 44 years, Ramona Gale Barrett Doty; one daughter, Tracey (Ricky) De of Lorado; one niece, Amanda (Stacey) Hager of Charleston; one nephew, Roger Lee Doty, Jr. and his fiancé, Shannon Reed of Alum Creek; and several great-nieces and great-nephews; Ramona’s family who were also Bruce’s family, sister-in-law, Donna (Larry) Mullins of Bruno; two brothers-in-law, Larry (Shirley) Barrett of Blackstone, VA and Bradley Barrett of SC; his first cousin, Jack (Phyllis) Doty; and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews along with a host of other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held from 6-9 p.m. Monday at the Krantz-McNeely Funeral Home at Man and one hour prior to services at the funeral home also.
Funeral services will begin at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 10, 2019, at the Krantz-McNeely Funeral Home at
