Obituary of Bessie Gertrude Dempsey

Bessie G. Dempsey Of Mallory, WV Bessie Gertrude Dempsey, 60, of Kistler, formerly of Mallory, is resting high on the mountain with the Lord having left this life on Wednesday, December 24, 2014, after a sudden illness. She was born on July 27, 1954, at King Shoal Hollow Road in Pecks Mill, a daughter of the late Effie Dessie Mahone Dempsey and James Harrison Dempsey. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Joseph Harrison, Mark Edward, and James Conard Dempsey; and one sister, Hazel Marie Dempsey. Bessie was a home maker. Those left to cherish her memory are one daughter, Sabrina Simpkins; two brothers, Donald (Rebecca) Dempsey of Mallory and Robert (Linda) Dempsey of OH; four sisters, Dolly (Roger) Hessler of Marion, OH, Donna Jean Dempsey, Gladys M. (Kenneth) Brown, and Barbara (Roy) Maynor, all of Mallory; a special aunt, Martha Osborne; and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be conducted at 12:00 P.M. Sunday, December 28, 2014, at the Grace Way Church at Craneco with Rev. Benny Osborne and Rev. Larry Osborne officiating. Burial will follow in Home Sweet Home Cemetery at Lorado. Friends may call from 6-10 p.m. Saturday at the church and one hour prior to services. Pall bearers will be family and friends.
