Hattie Ann Chafin

Of Amherstdale, WV

   Hattie Ann Chafin, 48, of Amherstdale, departed this life on Saturday, August 24, 2019, at Pikeville Medical Center at Pikeville, KY, after a long illness.

   She was born on July 11, 1971, at Williamson, KY, the daughter of the late Dimple Collins Leedy.

   In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by one sister, Lassie Marie Leedy Wolford.

   Hattie was a loving mother, grandmother, and friend.  She enjoyed taking care of her grandbabies, holidays, and spending time with her family.

   Those left to cherish her memory are three sons, Jesse Chafin of OH, Richard and Ashley Chafin of Turkey Creek, KY, and Marcus and Gina Chafin of Amherstdale, West Virginia; one special niece who was like a daughter, Marie and Matthew Farris of Williamson; one special daughter-in-law who was like a daughter, Amber Price of Amherstdale; and seven grandbabies, Randy Chafin, Joshua Chafin, Jasmine Chafin, Ryleigh Chafin, Nathan Chafin, Hunter Dotson, and Brooklyn Chafin; along with a host of other relatives and friends.

   Visitation will be held from 6-9 p.m. Tuesday at the Krantz-McNeely Funeral Home at Man.

   In honor of Hattie’s wishes her remains will be cremated.
