William Craig “Willie” Baisden

Of Davin, WV

   William Craig “Willie” Baisden, 44, of Davin, departed this life on Monday, August 12, 2019, at his residence.

   He was born on May 13, 1975, in Lewis County, a son of the late Charles Edward Baisden and Charlotte Rae Bailey Baisden Plumley.

He was preceded in death by his wife Christine Cottrell Baisden.

   Willie was a carpenter.  He enjoyed the outdoors and was an avid electronic gamer.  Willie was a guy with a big heart who would help anyone.  His family and friends will deeply miss him.

   Those left to cherish his memory are one son, Austin Sean Baisden of Landville; one brother, Terry Lee Plumley II and his wife, Amy, of Landville; step-sister, Heather Bailey and her husband, Bobby, of Landville; nieces and nephew, Aurora Plumley and Connor Plumley, both of Landville, step-father, Terry Lee Plumley of Landville; special aunts, Jeanie Chistian and her husband, Ralph, Lou Gordon, and Paula Ellis, all of Davin and Sharon Baisden of VA; uncle, Wetzel Bailey and his wife, Sandy, of  Meigs County, OH, Warren Baisden of VA, and Rodney Baisden of PA; two special cousins who were like his sisters, Lisa Wimmer and her husband, Joe, of Davin and Paula Holt and her husband, Thomas, of Green Valley; Cousins  Lisa Ellis Massey and her husband Rusty of Monroe county; and Mikey Ellis of Davin, and many other cousins that he loved along with a host of other relatives and friends.

In Lieu of flowers the family has requested that donations be made to Krantz McNeely Funeral Home.   

     A Memorial service will be held at the Gilman Bottom Freewill Baptist Church at 6:00 pm on Saturday August 24th, 2019. With Rev. Mike Brown officiating.
