Obituary of Claude Adams

Claude Adams Of Mud Fork, WV Claude Adams, 89, of Mud Fork, formerly of Cow Creek, departed this life on Saturday, December 6, 2014, at the home of his son, Michael Adams at Man, after a short illness. He was born on September 23, 1925, at Harts, the son of the late Jesse and Almeda Mullins Adams. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Clyde, Clarence, Enoch, and Wilburn Adams; a son-in-law, Steve Pinson; and a great-granddaughter, Marietta Adkins. Claude was a disable U.S. Marine Corp veteran who served during the Korean War. He enjoyed his mornings at McDonald's and his afternoons at the flea market at Monitor. Claude loved Blue Grass music, playing his banjo, watching old Westerns, and reading, especially his Bible. Those left to cherish his memory are six children, Lester (Leora) Mullins of Harts Creek, Marrietta (Darrell) York of Lucasville, OH, Margaret "Lou" Pinson of Pikeville, KY, Deborah Santiago of Norwalk, OH, Michael (Rhonetta) Adams of Man, and Anita Adams (Scott Evans) of Troy, OH; 16 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and his special friends, Danny Hamaker and his next door neighbor, Destiny along with a host of other relatives and friends. A celebration of life service will be held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, December 10, 2014, at the New Day Family Worship Center at Monaville with Pastor Michael Hicks officiating. Burial will follow in Forest Lawn Cemetery at Pecks Mill where military graveside rites will be observed. Visitation will be held Tuesday from 6-9 p.m. at the New Day Family Worship Center and one hour prior to services. Pall bearers will be family and friends. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Krantz-McNeely Funeral Home, 115 Market St., Man, WV 25635 to help with funeral expenses.
