Obituary of Conard Earl Midkiff

Conard Earl Midkiff Of Davin, WV Conard Earl Midkiff, 76, of Davin, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, February 25, 2014, from his residence after a short battle with cancer. He was born on March 1, 1937 at Branchland, a son of the late Imojean Albright. In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by one son, Eddie Midkiff. Conard was a retired coal miner who retired from Pittston Coal Company, after 44 years of service. He was a member and served as a deacon at the Lyburn Freewill Baptist Church. Conard was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend to many who loved him. Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 56 years, Naomi Foxx Midkiff of Davin; one daughter, Chrystal (Scott) Meredith of North Olmsted, Ohio; daughter-in-law, Teri Spolarich Midkiff of Cyclone; three grandsons, Todd Midkiff of the US Air Force, Kyle Midkiff of Huntington, and Joshua Hastings of North Olmsted, Ohio; sister, Patricia (Danny) Mitchell of Wytheville, VA; brother, John Booth of Chicago, IL; special uncle, who was also his pastor, Rev. Linzel Walls; many nieces and nephews; special friend and caretaker, Joyce Perry of Lyburn; and his church family, who will miss him deeply; along with a host of other relatives and friends. Visitation will be held from 12 p.m. until 1 p.m. Saturday, March 1, 2014 at the Krantz-McNeely Funeral Home at Man. Funeral services will begin at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Krantz-McNeely Funeral Home with Rev. Jody Brown officiating. Burial will follow in Highland Memory Gardens at Godby.
