Billy Ray Hurley II

of Davin, WV

   Billy Ray “Bub” “Big Man” Hurley II, 42, of Davin, went to be with the Lord and to see his Dad and baby boy Tre’ on May 28, 2019 leaving from his earthly home at Davin, after a long illness.

   He was born on August 29, 1976, at Man, the son of Debra Lynn Hurley of Davin with whom he made his home and the late Billy Ray Hurley.

   In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his baby boy, Tre’ Hurley; his maternal grandparents, Bill and Mildred Aldridge; his paternal grandparents, George Hurley and Maxine Hurley Taylor; and his step-grandfather, Elba Taylor.

   Big Man was a 1994 graduate of Man High School.  After graduation, he became an electrician who worked for various local coal mines.  Bub enjoyed hunting and fishing.  Billy gave his life to the Lord on May 10, 2019 and was baptized on Mother’s Day. 

   Those left to cherish his memory are Cynthia Rene’e Hurley of Davin; two daughters, Baylee and Alyssa Hurley of Davin; his mother, Debra Lynn Hurley of Davin; one sister, Becky (Jason) Mullins of Davin; two brothers, Brandon (Andrea) Hurley and Garrett Hurley, both of Davin; three nephews, Gage, Caden, and Brody Jay Mullins, all of Davin; along with a host of other relatives and friends.

   In honor of Billy’s request his remains have been cremated and there will be no services.
