Jerry Lee “Bubba” Grimmett, 62, of Gilbert, departed this life on Thursday, May 9, 2019, leaving from
He was born on July 8, 1956, at Man, the son of the late William Bin and Lois Violet (Canup) Grimmett.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Tim and Henry Grimmett; two nephews, Todd and Jeremy Grimmett; and one niece, Shaiyan Watson.
Jerry was a machinist employed with White Armature Works, Inc. at Man for 40 ½ years. An avid outdoorsman, Jerry enjoyed hunting and fishing. He loved life, traveling, and spending time with his family.
Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 41 years, 11 months, and six days, Shirley Jean Stratton Grimmett; five sisters, Debra Nutter of Green Valley, Violet (Terry) Trent of Leesburg, VA, Mary (Kenny) Justice of Cyclone, Shellia Grimmett of Greenville, and Lynn Watson of Leesburg, VA; two brothers, Michael Grimmett of VA and Carl (Ilene) Grimmett of OH; a special sister-in-law, Charlotte Ball of Gilbert; special uncle, Jerry Workman of Auburn; canine fur babies, Bill, Zena, and Sheba Grimmett; and many nieces and nephews along with a host of other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. Monday at the Krantz-McNeely Funeral Home at Man and one hour prior to services at the funeral home also.
A Celebration of Jerry’s Life will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, May 14, 2019, at the Krantz-McNeely Funeral Home with Rev. Denny May and Rev. Michael Browning officiating. Burial will follow in
Pallbearers will be Ty Cook, Justin Rogers, Jim Mitchell, Michael Compton, John White III, and Parrish Harvey.
Honorary pallbearers will be Jerry Workman, Eddie Kilgore, John White II, Rodney Amburgey, and all of the men and women at White Armature Works.
