Edna Ruth Pierson

of Accoville, WV

  Edna Ruth Pierson, 81, of Accoville, went home to be with Jesus on Sunday, March 31, 2019, leaving from her home surrounded by her loved ones.

   She was born on March 6, 1938, at Three Forks, the daughter of the late Roy and Atla Lusk Osborne.

   In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harvey Pierson; her son, Paul Pierson; her grandson, Darrell Pierson; and two brothers, Kenny and Ralph Osborne. In-laws Edgar and Mabel Pierson, and a brothers-in-law George Georgas.

   Edna Ruth was a kind hearted loving mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt.  She had an infectious laugh, once she got started she would have everyone laughing and she would laugh until she lost her breath.  She will be greatly missed by her family who will cherish all of their memories.  Edna Ruth was loved dearly but her family knows that one day there will be a Great Reunion in Heaven. 

   Those left to cherish her memory are two daughters, Drema (George) Baldridge of Accoville and Diana (James “Red”) Morris of Robinette; three sons, Harvey (Alice) Pierson of Accoville, Fred (Tammy) Pierson of Scott Depot, and Lyndon Pierson of Accoville; a daughter-in-law, Linda Pierson of Lundale; 12 grandchildren who all were the light of her life, Ava and Noah Baldridge, Beth Ferrell, Josh Pierson, Amy Ferrell, Kristy Browning, Erica Ellis, Mary Thomas, Freddy Pierson, Derek Pierson, Jodie Pierson, and Brian Pierson; 10 great-grandchildren, Kaleigh Hicks, Abby, Christian, Megan, Joshua, Eli, Alton, Carson, Katelyn, and Madison; one sister, Erma “Shirley” Georgas of Logan; two brothers, Charles (Nancy) Osborne of Shady Spring and Eddie (Genevieve) Osborne of Lorado, one brother-in-law David Pierson; and many nieces and nephews along with a host of other relatives and friends.

   Visitation will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the Krantz-McNeely Funeral Home at Man.

   Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, April 5, 2019, at the Krantz-McNeely Funeral Home with Rev. Barney Goins officiating.  Burial will follow in Legg Cemetery at Hico.

   Pallbearers will be family and friends.

   The family would like to give a special thank you to Dignity Hospice and Trinity Healthcare for their care and compassion.
