Of
Betty Jean “Pue” Gibson, 68, of Mallory, went to be with the Lord on Monday, March 18, 2019, leaving from her home, surrounded by her loving family, after a long illness.
She was born November 10, 1950, at Slagle, the daughter of the late Homer Othar and Mae Elizabeth Baker Wooten.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister, Shirley Eldridge; and three brothers, Robert and Dick Peyton and Walter Othar Wooten.
Betty worked for the Logan County Board of Education for 20 years retiring in 2000. She was a member of
Those left to cherish her memory are her husband of 54 years, Glenn Gene Gibson; four children, Kristi Dawn Gibson and her companion, Mark Hall, Glenna Mitchell, Effie Mae Gibson, and Glen Michael (Kayla) Gibson, all of Mallory; nine grandchildren, Kristofer Kyle (Keisha) Dotson of Crown, Chelsay Jo Dotson of Mallory, Nicholas Chase (Skyler) Dotson of Robinette, Kenneth Mitchell and his companion, Flora Ellis, Kara Mitchell, Bradley Mitchell, Elexus Summer Brown, Kaylea Alexandria Brown, and Layla Brooke Gibson, all of Mallory; five great-grandchildren, Braylon Dotson, Brylie Dotson, Kylah Rogers, Ashton Mitchell, and Roman Mitchell, all of Mallory; two sisters, Elizabeth Ransom of Lorain, OH and Bonnie Bartram of Mallory; two brothers, Garland Wooten and Hobert Wooten, both of Mallory; and many nieces and nephews along with a host of other relatives, church family, and friends.
Visitation will be held from 6-9 p.m. Thursday, March 21, 2019, at the Krantz-McNeely Funeral Home at Man where a Celebration of Life Service will begin at 7 p.m. with Rev. Lehman Eldridge, Jr. and Rev. Andrew Eldridge officiating.
To honor Pue’s request, her remains will be cremated after her services.
