Robert Hayes “Rob” “Tobe” Perry, Jr.
Of South Man, WV
Robert Hayes “Rob” “Tobe” Perry, Jr., 59, of South Man, departed this life Friday, February 22, 2019, with his loving wife by his side and his family gathered around, at Logan Regional Medical Center, after a courageous battle with lung cancer.
He was born on June 10, 1959, at Logan, a son of Robert Hayes Perry, Sr. of
Rob was an auto body repairman who was the owner and operator of Pro-Tek Auto. After closing his shop he worked for Justice Auto for many years. For the last year he worked for K.C. Transport and Appalachian Security. He enjoyed riding motorcycles, driving, traveling, tinkering on cars, being outdoors and caring for his dog, Sugar. Devoted to his family, he was a wonderful loving husband, father, grandfather who will be deeply missed.
Those left to cherish his memory, in addition to his father, are his wife of 33 years, Ada Kathern Chippent Perry; five sons, Robert Lee Perry of Madison Creek, Steven Ray (Jennifer) Perry of Omar, Timothy Lee (Kimberly) Perry of South Man, Michael Todd (Katie) Perry of Davin, and one special little fellow at home, Ian Gage “Tiny” Walker; one daughter, Adrienne Renee Chippent of Logan; one brother, James (Katrina) Perry of Madison Creek; three sisters, Sherrie (Kenny) Ellison and Terri (Donald) Ellison, both of Asheboro, NC, and Cathy (Jimmy) Curry of TN; 11 grandchildren, Arianna Perry of Madison Creek, Jordan, Hailey, and Kaitlyn Perry of Omar, Dylan, Tyler, and Ryan “Rhino” Perry of South Man, Kaylee and Derek “Blake” Julious and Joshua Lively, of Davin, and Madelyn
“Maddy” Toler of Lundale; and many nieces and nephews along with a host of other relatives and friends.
The family would like to thank the 4th Floor Staff of Logan Regional Medical Center for the kindness and care they gave to Rob and our family.
Funeral services will be held at 12 Noon Wednesday, February 27, 2019, at the Krantz-McNeely Funeral Home at Man with Rev. Eddie Isom officiating. Burial will follow in
Visitation will be held from 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesday at the Krantz-McNeely Funeral Home at
Pallbearers will be Jeff Justice, Jeff Perry, David Chambers, T.J. Crosby,
Honorary pallbearers will be Scott Ferrell, Edgar Johnson, and Stuart Justice.
