Of Accoville, WV
Roscoe C. Plymale, 65, of Accoville, departed this life on Tuesday, March 21, 2017, at Logan Regional Medical Center at Logan, after an apparent heart attack.
He was born on March 18, 1952, at Landville, a son of the late James Ballard and Sybil Goodman Plymale.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Nina Murphy Plymale; six brothers, Charles, Jimmy, Roger, Jerry, Jackie, and Frankie Plymale; and one sister, Barbara Jean Lively.
Roscoe was a coal miner and a member of the UMWA District 17. He was of the Freewill Baptist faith. When he was younger, he enjoyed hunting and fishing. A friendly person, Roscoe never met a stranger and enjoyed talking and laughing with everyone he met. He loved his family and enjoyed spending as much time with them as possible, especially his grandchildren.
Those left to cherish his memory are two daughters, Lori (Chris) Bowen of Gate City, VA and Angel (Joey) Lester of Landville; four grandchildren, Paige (Austin) Bowen-Flannigan of Kingsport, TN, Justin Lester of Landville, and Aidan and Luke Bowen, both of Gate City, VA; three sisters, Freda Mullihan of Jackson, OH, Carol Murphy of Landville, and Angene Earnest of Whitman; many nieces and nephews along with a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, March 25, 2017, at the Landville Freewill Baptist Church at Landville with Rev. Bill Cantrell officiating. Burial will follow in Highland Memory Gardens at Godby Heights where he will be laid to rest beside his beloved wife, Nina.
Visitation will be held from 6-9 p.m. Friday at the church and one hour prior to services at the church also.
Pall bearers will be friends and family.
