Georgia Josephine “Jo” Curry Of Lundale, WV Georgia Josephine “Jo” Curry, 82, of Lundale, went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Saturday, November 21, 2020, leaving from her earthly home, after an extended illness. She was born on November 5, 1938, at Elk Horn, KY, the daughter of the late Raymond Howard and Emma Mae (Anderson) Sanders. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 58 ½ years, Claude Ray Curry; her oldest son, William Ray “Bill” Curry; two sisters, Audrey June Sanders and Virgie Mandy Sanders Wright; and four brothers, Roy Chester Sanders, Thomas Andrew Sanders, Robert Lewis Sanders, and Charles Howard Sanders. Jo was a Christian for 54 years. She was a long time member of Lundale Freewill Baptist Church. She loved to attend church and be an active member of the Ladies Aide when she was able. In her 82 years, Jo was a wonderful caretaker of her family and always helped anyone she could. In her free time she enjoyed cooking which she tried to teach her grandchildren but there will never be a comparison to Jo’s biscuits. She also enjoyed quilting, fishing, and visits with her family and friends. Although she loved doing these things her latest passion was playing and rocking her newest great-grandson who loved her as much as she loved him. She will greatly be missed and her memory will be cherished forever. Those left to cherish her memory are two sons, Claude Curry and his wife Martha of Lorado and Joseph Brian Curry and his wife Amy of Morristown, TN; four adopted children, Ellen Renee Delory and her husband Jason of Winston-Salem, NC, Jennifer Lee Toler and her husband Christopher of Lundale, Joseph Dale Curry and Samantha Rae Curry, both of whom made their home with Jo; six grandchildren, Anthony James Curry, Jeremiah Zakkary Bolden, and Elijah Deaven Bolden, all of Morristown, TN, Marlynda Arnette and her husband Andrew of Clarksburg, WV, Montana Adkins and her companion Frank McCormick of South Man, Blake Adkins and his wife Alyssa of Pearisburg, VA; three great-grandchildren, Madelyn Ray-Ann Toler and Anderson Garrett Toler, both of Lundale, and Gavin Arnette of Clarksburg; one sister, Judy Ann Pennington of Pike Co., KY; and two brothers, Raymond Randolph Sanders and Moses Allen Sanders, both of Pike Co., KY; along with a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
