Obituary of Dorothy Berniece Silvers

Dorothy Berniece Silvers Of Bruno, WV Dorothy Berniece Silvers, 72, of Bruno, went to be with the Lord on Friday, August 7, 2020, leaving from CAMC-Memorial Division at Charleston, after an extended illness. She was born on December 18, 1947, at Gallipolis, OH, the daughter of the late Lawrence Griffith and the late Ruthella Viregene Miller. Also, Step Father the late Kenneth Morrison. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her Fiancee the late Dennis Neace; and the father of her children the late Claude Preece ; and her step sister, Virginia Jarvis; her Aunt Nelly Miller and her late husband Glenn; and her brother, Michael Griffith; a great-grand-daughter, Ember Hoffman. Before she became disabled, Berniece worked as an elder caregiver. She enjoyed caring for her and Dennis’s furbaby of 19yrs. The late Bubba, and playing bingo, fishing, shopping and spending time with family. Berniece lived life to the fullest and wore her heart on her sleeve helped others wherever she could. Was always joking and never met a stranger. Those left to cherish her memory are one daughter, Tammathy Harless and her husband Robbie of Bruno; two sons, Claude Preece JR; and his wife Sharon of KY and Kenneth Preece and his wife Jennifer of Charleston; her step-daughter, Dawnya Combs of Middletown, OH; two sisters, Shirley Parsley and her husband Rev. William and Mischelle Brown, all of Columbus, OH; and family friend Anna Mae Ellis Sprouse of Man, west Virginia; 13 grandchildren, Danny Toler, Jr., Randy Toler, Heather Toler, Jessica Wolfgang, Damien Preece, Wade Preece, Kenny Preece, Jr., Carolyn Kenneda and her husband Rat, Savanna Hoffman and her husband Tyler, Gage Preece, Craig Grizzle, Natalie Wilson, and Joshua Wilson; 8 step - grandchildren and many great-grandchildren; and special friends, Sue Pack and Jean Sparks along with a host of other relatives and friends. In honor of Berniece’s request her remains have been cremated and a memorial service will be held at a later date.
