Dianne Sue Vance
Of Robinette, WV
Dianne Sue Vance, 72, of Robinette, went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Saturday, July 11, 2020, leaving from her residence, after a long illness.
She was born on December 20, 1947, at Paintsville, KY, the daughter of the late Harvey and Hazel (Spradlin) Arms.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother-in-law, Rev. Roger Vance.
Dianne was a 1965 graduate of Man High School. She attended Marshall University and graduated with a Bachelors Degree in Education in 1969. Dianne taught for 36 years at Buffalo Grade School and retired in 2006. She was a member of the Crown Freewill Baptist Church where she was the Sunday School Secretary for many years and was a member of the Ladies Aide. Dianne was an avid reader, a collector of Native American Dolls, and enjoyed crocheting.
Those left to cherish her memory are her loving husband of 39 years, Rev. Charles D. Vance; one brother, Harvey Arms and his wife, Karen Duba Arms, of Kistler; one sister, Marsha Arms of Robinette; niece, Nancy Garrity and her husband, Brian Garrity, of Chicago, IL; two great-nieces, Carrigan Garrity and Reilly Garrity, both of Chicago, IL; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Harold and Vicky Vance of Hendersonville, NC, Patricia and Eddie Ball of Bob White, Tony Vance of Barnardsville, NC, Michael and Susan Vance of Asheville, NC, Sherry and Jay Boughman of Morganton, NC, Kitty Vance Howell and her husband Mitchell Howell of Bob White; and many nieces and nephews, two special caretakers, Jean Graham and Eileen Hoosier; along with a host of other relatives, church family, and friends.
Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the Crown Freewill Baptist Church at Crown and one hour prior to services at the church also.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, July 14, 2020, at the Crown Freewill Baptist Church with Rev. Darrell Newsome and Rev. Jody Rose officiating. Burial will follow in Highland Memory Gardens at Godby.
Pall bearers will be brethren of the Crown Freewill Baptist Church.
