Of Madison Creek, WV
Helen Joyce Brown, 71, of Madison Creek, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, May 13, 2020, leaving from Trinity Healthcare at Logan, after an extended illness.
She was born on March 26, 1949, in Calhoun County, the daughter of the late George Wesley Talkington, Sr. and the late Chessie Faye (McCumbers) Talkington.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Zachary Taylor “Z.T.” Brown; brother-in-law, Doc Abel.
Helen was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, daughter, sister, and friend. She lived in Newton Falls, OH where she worked for many years at R.F. Products at Lordstown, OH. Helen was a Christian and after moving back to Logan County she became a member of Lyburn Freewill Baptist Church. When she was able she enjoyed crocheting, watching Westerns on TV, and attending church services.
Those left to cherish her memory are three sons, Rodney Brown and his wife April of Dingess, Wesley Brown and his wife Tracie of OH, and Johnny Brown and his wife Suzanne of Lordstown, OH; two daughters, Angela Jane Miller and her fiancé, Lonnie Bradley of Lake and Susan Faye Rose and her husband Kenneth Rose, Jr. of Hidden Valley; four sisters, Karen Thomas and her husband Eddie of Newton Falls, OH, Patsy Abel of Cleveland, OH, Vicki Miller and her husband James of Rosedale, and Teresa Kowalski and her husband Keith of OH; two brothers, George Wesley Talkington, Jr. and his wife Susan of Akron, OH and Stephen Talkington, Sr. and his wife Sheila of New Brunswick, OH; grandchildren, Zachary Brown and his wife Denise, Taylor Brown, Douglas Miller and his fiancé Britney, Caleb Miller, Zachary Allen Brown, Isabella Brown, Levi Pekarski, Sarah Rose, Samuel Rose, Sadie Brown, Landon Brown, Lena Brown, Elizabeth Warner, and Katherine Warner; two great-grand-daughters, Maria Miller and MaKenna Miller; and many nieces and nephews along with a host of other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held from 6-9 p.m. on Sunday at the Lyburn Freewill Baptist Church and one hour prior to services at the church also.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, May 18, 2020, at the Lyburn Freewill Baptist Church at Lyburn with Rev. Michael Brown officiating. Burial will follow in Brown Cemetery at Madison Creek.
Pall bearers will be family and friends.
