Evelyn Sue Isom
Of Robinette, WV
Evelyn Sue Isom, 53, of Robinette, went to her Heavenly home on Friday, March 20, 2020, leaving from the University of Kentucky Medical Center at Lexington, KY, after a short illness.
She was born on April 30, 1966, at Man, daughter of the late James Harold, Sr. and Naomi Ruth (Peters) Isom.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, James Harold Isom, Jr. and Robert Eugene Isom.
Evelyn was a home maker and a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She loved going to church and spending time with her family especially her grandchildren. Her hobbies were cooking for the family, singing, gardening, and any other outdoor activity. She was always the life of the party willing to act crazy to make others laugh as she didn’t want any sad faces around her. She will long be remembered for her sense of humor and her famous meat loaf, fried chicken, and mashed potatoes.
Those left to cherish her memory are four daughters, Tina (Greg) Crouse of Bruno, Wendy Walls of Lorado, Kimberly (Chris) Johnson of Lundale, and Brittany (Theo) Cooper of Lorado; one son, Justin (Tiffany) Gibson of Lorado; two step-children, Jamie Thomas of Curtis and Anthony Osborne of Lorado; 13 grandchildren, Kaylee “Sunshine”, Nick, Emily, Kirsten, Jacob, Troy, Arista, Isaiah, Emma, Hunter, Angel, Nehemiah, and Elizabeth; three sisters, Carolyn Prince of VA, Janice (Mark) Bowens of Lundale, and Kathy (Tiny) Osborne; two brothers, Rev. Eddie (Sharon) Isom of Lorado and Michael Isom of Harts, and many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews who she loved dearly; along with a host of other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held from 6-9 p.m. Monday at God’s Lighthouse Church at Curtis.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 24, 2020, at the God’s Lighthouse Church at Curtis with Rev. Scottie Elswick officiating. Burial will follow in Daniels Cemetery at Curtis.
Pallbearers will be family and friends.
