Obituary of Helen Louise Miller

Helen Louise Miller of Christian, WV Helen Louise Miller, 90, of Christian, departed this life on Friday, January 17, 2020, at Trinity Healthcare of Logan, after living a long blessed life. She was born on November 29, 1929, at Smithers, the daughter of the late Earl and Bertha Hannah Bowen. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of almost 65 years, R.B. Miller; two daughters, Karen Louise Miller and Deborah Ruth Justice Neal; four sisters and four brothers. Helen retired from the Logan County Board of Education after 25 years of serving as secretary at Christian Grade School. She was a member of the Man Church of the Nazarene. In her spare time Helen enjoyed crocheting gifts for her family and friends. She also enjoyed working crossword puzzles and conversation with everyone she met. Those left to cherish her memory are her children, Bill (Vicki) Miller and Randy (Virginia) Miller, both of Charleston, Monty (Dianna) Miller of Davin, Vickie Flowers of Christian, Pam (George) Greer of Pheonix, AZ; 10 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchilden; three great-great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren due to arrive soon; along with a host of extended family and friends. A celebration of Helen’s life will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, January 21, 2020, at the Man Church of the Nazarene with Rev. Ollie Parsons officiating. Burial will follow in Christian Community Cemetery at Christian. Visitation will be held one hour prior to services at the Man Church of the Nazarene also. Pallbearers will be family and friends. Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Krantz-McNeely Funeral Home at Man.
