Ricky Gene Bragg
Of Amherstdale, WV
Ricky Gene Bragg, 57, of Amherstdale, joined his family in their Heavenly home on Tuesday, January 14, 2020, leaving from Accoville, after a sudden illness.
He was born on April 10, 1962, at Man, the son of the late Donald Jean and Eunice Rosaleen Adkins Bragg.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his Aunt and Uncle who raised him, Willie R. and Lois Adkins Hatfield; his parents-in-law, Warner and Quindora Osborne; his sisters-in-law, Drema Adkins and Darlene Davis; and many Aunts and Uncles.
Ricky Gene was an active member of the Brothers of the Wheel from 2004 to 2010 and a retired member from 2010 to 2020. He enjoyed going in the mountains and hunting. His passion was riding his Harley Motorcycle. Ricky was a disabled heavy equipment operator who worked for various mines. He was of the Baptist faith. A friendly person, Ricky never met a stranger and was always willing to help people out. He loved spending time with his family especially his children, Boo and Kyleigh.
Those left to cherish his memory are the love of his life, his wife of 19 years, Kristy Dawn Bragg; two children, Ricky Gene “Boo” Bragg II and Kyleigh Shaelyn Bragg, both at home; one sister, Trina (Jimmy) Bateman of Verner; six brothers, Jimmy Adkins of Hensley Heights, Charles (Teresa) Urconise of Elk Creek, Randy (Cindy) Bragg of Braeholm, Donald “Slick” (Sabrina) Bragg, Randall Bragg, and Kent Bragg all of Amherstdale; his sister-in-law, Melissa Gentry of Gilbert; and many nieces and nephews along with a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, January 20, 2020, at Becco United Baptist Church at Amherstdale with Rev. P.J. Tomblin officiating. Burial will follow in Highland Memory Gardens at Godby.
Visitation will be held two hours prior to services at Becco United Baptist Church also.
Pall bearers will be his son, Ricky Gene “Boo” Bragg II and Members of the Brothers of the Wheel.
