Charles “Buz” Leslie Vance
Of
Charles “Buz” Leslie Vance, 72, of Lundale, returned to his heavenly home on Wednesday, September 11, 2019, after a long battle with cancer and heart disease. His love and devotion to his family along with his firm belief in God supported him through his struggles and ultimately gave him peace.
He was born on November 15, 1946, at Riley Camp, the son of the late Charles O’Neil Vance and
Also preceding him in death was a daughter, Tina Rochele Vance; and a sister, Patricia Lee Vance Morgan.
He was an active member and Deacon at the
Buz was a character with his joking and quick witted ways, but also he was a valuable pillar in the hearts of many due to his unwavering faith and guidance. He loved many sports including bowling and golf and spent many summers on his boat enjoying time with family.
His life was led by putting God first and helping others. His favorite saying was “I’m not worried for I’m a winner either way.”
Left to cherish him and give praise is his wife of 50 years, Carolyn Sue Dickerson Vance of Lundale; one son, Gregory Allen Vance of Lundale; and daughter, Lisa Michele Vance of Lundale. He was blessed by four grandchildren, Joshua Daniel Workman, Hannah Michelle Vance, Haven Rochele Riley, and Lyla Caye Vance. A brother, Kenneth (Lora) Vance of TX and one sister, Lilly (Del) Toler of TX; and one special aunt, Ruth (Harold) Tomblin of Man along with a host of nephews and nieces.
