Easter Louise Hager

Of Earling, WV

Easter Louis Hager, 51, of Earling, went to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Wednesday, August 21, 2019, at West Virginia University (Ruby Memorial) Hospital, after a short illness.

She was born June 29, 1968, at Man, the daughter of the late Sylvester and Pauline Aliff Chapman.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister, Sherry Chapman.

Easter was a 1986 graduate of Man High School.  She was a home maker who was devoted to her family.  Her hobbies were swimming, going to the beach, traveling, going to church, and singing in the choir.  The joy she found in this world was centered on her family especially her grandchildren.  She became a Christian in 1989 and became a member of Taplin Freewill Baptist Church which she loved with all of her heart.  As a member of the choir, she traveled and sang at many churches.  Easter was faithful to God and her church and has gotten her Crown.

Those left to cherish her memory are her husband of 32 plus years, David Richard “Richie” Hager; two children, Jonathan Lee Hager and Frances Louise Daniels and her husband, DJ, who was very special to Easter, all of Earling; four grandchildren, Michael Harmon Hopson, Raylyn Brooke Hope Hager, and twin grand-daughters, Kirsten Ann Daniels and Alyssa Ann Daniels; brother, Edgar Aliff of Ashtabula, OH; one sister, Patricia Tudor of Robinette; a very special father-in-law, Richard Hager of Ethel; two brothers-in-law, Jody Hager of Ethel and Scotty Hager of Chapmanville; and many nieces and nephews along with a host of relatives, church family, and friends.

Visitation will be held from 6-9 p.m. Sunday at the Taplin Freewill Baptist Church at Taplin.

A celebration of Easter’s life will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, August 26, 2019, at Taplin Freewill Baptist Church with Rev. Roger Sizemore and Pastor Lacy Cox, Jr. officiating.  She will be lovingly laid to rest at Forest Lawn Cemetery at Pecks Mill.

Pallbearers will be family and friends.

In lieu of flowers the family requests contributions be made to Krantz-McNeely Funeral Home to help with funeral expenses.

Online condolences may be sent to www.krantzmcneelyfuneralhome.com

Arrangements have been entrusted to the care of the Krantz-McNeely Funeral Home at Man.
