Joey Lee Buchanon
Joey Lee “Joe” Buchanon, 50, of Lorado, departed this life on Monday, December 17, 2018, at his home, after a sudden illness.
He was born on November 28, 1968, at Man, a son of the late Ray Neal and Mildred Gaye Vance Buchanon.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Suzette Buchanon; his mother-in-law, Brenda Walker; his step-father, Timothy Allen “Timbo” Williams; and a special friend, Ronald Combs.
Joe was a disabled truck driver formerly employed with Quick Delivery. He enjoyed four wheeling and talking to his friends on Facebook. Joe absolutely loved spending time with his grandchildren and caring for his dogs, Lil Girl, Poco, and Pugsley.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife of 29 years, Sheila Ann Walker Buchanon; two daughters, Cortina Buchanon Stickler and her fiancé, Joel Phipps, both of Titusville, FL and Brandy Dean and her husband, James Dean of Accoville; one son, Joey Lee “Buck” Buchanon and his girlfriend, Lindsay Eldridge, both of Proctorville, OH; five grandchildren, Kathryn Elizabeth Grace Phipps of Titusville, FL, Mackenzie Kaylann Maynard and Zoey Kerrigan Dean, both of Accoville, Cora Shae Harvey of Holden, and Carson Jaylen Dean of Jesup, GA; one brother, Keith Buchanon and his wife, Bonnie, of Accoville; one brother-in-law, Avery “Pork” Walker of Kistler; three nieces, Angel Dawn Buchanon and her fiancé, Brandon Frye, both of Rum Creek, and Kimberly Buchanon and Brittany Buchanon, both of Accoville; one great-nephew, Ryder Frye and one great-niece, Aaliyah Frye, both of Rum Creek; and special friends, Alonzo Adkins and Danny Williams; along with a host of other relatives and friends.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, December 22, 2018, at the Krantz-McNeely Funeral Home at Man where a funeral service will begin at 7 p.m. with Rev. Barney Goins officiating.
In honor of Joey’s request his remains will be cremated after the services.
